This Privacy Policy explains how Jakko ("Jakko," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Jakko mobile application (the "App"). Jakko helps you discover weekly grocery flyer deals from stores near you.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App may ask for the following permissions. All are optional and can be changed at any time in your device settings.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with the following service providers and third parties so the App can function:
We may also disclose information (a) to comply with the law, a legal process, or a government request; (b) to protect the rights, safety, or property of Jakko, our users, or others; and (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may use your advertising identifier together with limited device and usage data.
We use PostHog for analytics only (not advertising), to measure feature usage and improve the App.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, email us at support@jakko.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. We may "share" your advertising identifier with Google for cross-context behavioural (personalised) advertising. You can opt out of this by declining App Tracking on iOS, by limiting ad personalisation on Android, or by emailing us — and we will honour those choices and any Global Privacy Control signal where applicable.
Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (for notifications and tracking), performance of a contract (to provide the App and your account), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App). You may withdraw consent at any time and have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us at support@jakko.app and we will delete it promptly.
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and on this page and updating the date above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
